My client has a jure sanguinis appointment coming up in April of 2025, at the Italian Consulate located in New York City at 690 Park Avenue. My client was in need of a court order to release his grandfather’s birth certificate. In New York State outside of the five boroughs, you need a court order to release the birth certificate of a deceased individual, pursuant to New York Public Health Law 4174. I commenced the case in late December 2024, and we had a signed court order in mid February of 2025.
